Description:
At 301 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Red Bay, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and accumulating large
amounts of penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Russellville, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Littleville, Belgreen, Vina,
Pogo, Cedar Creek Reservoir, Tharptown, and Duketon.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
