At 619 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles southeast of Gasquet, or 17 miles east of Jedediah Smith State Park, moving west at 25 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Del Norte County. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

At 622 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11 miles east of Gasquet, or 18 miles east of Jedediah Smith State Park, moving northwest at 25 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
