The Tropical Storm Watch for lower Iberia Parish has been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning.
Residents should prepare for the projected hazards:
Storm Surge & Coastal Flooding: Surge values of 2-4 ft are expected in coastal areas anytime from Wednesday-Thursday.
Rainfall: Rates in excess of 2-4 inches may be possible at times with the possibility of isolated higher rates
Wind: Gusts of 25-40 mph are anticipated in the south-central Louisiana coast.
Thunderstorms: There remains a small chance for isolated severe thunderstorms including hail and the possibility of tornadoes.
