Thunderstorms have rapidly developed in northeast Montana, and are moving northeast at 50 mph. They are expected to cross the North Dakota and Montana state line around 1030 PM CDT. The storms are expected to then continue across northwest North Dakota, and some of them will be severe. The main threat will be damaging winds up to around 70 mph, but large hail up to ping pong ball size is also possible. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the area until 3 AM CDT.
