...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY...
.Bands of snow showers are continuing to move southwest to
northeast across southeast Alaska Monday, primarily for Juneau
southward. These snow showers may be moderate to heavy at times,
resulting in variable snow amounts across the region. Under the
heaviest snow showers showers, expect visibilities to be reduced
to one half mile or less with areas seeing additional snowfall of
2 to 6 inches of snowfall through Monday.
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3
inches. Storm total snow accumulations of 7 to 11 inches.
* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM AKDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, particularly in Lemon
Creek, Downtown Juneau, and Douglas. The hazardous conditions
could impact the evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers are beginning to decrease in
frequency.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water
with you in case of an emergency.

winter weather.
