...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING..
.Bands of snow showers will continue to move west to east across
southeast Alaska Monday morning. These snow showers may be
moderate to heavy at times, resulting in variable snow amounts
across the region. Under the heaviest snow showers showers,
expect visibilities to be reduced to one mile or less with
isolated areas seeing upwards of 2 to 6 inches of snowfall
through Monday morning. A band of heavy snowfall set up overnight
in parts of Juneau and Douglas and a Winter Storm Warning has been
issued.
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4
inches. Storm total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches.
* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM AKDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A narrow band of heavy snow set up
overnight over Lemon Creek, Douglas and towards Downtown Juneau.
Locations further north toward the airport and in the valley
have seen lighter snow amounts through the night.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water
with you in case of an emergency.

winter weather.
